Soft creams, coral and sage - the calm, dreamy side of skate culture. Save these for your mood board.

Pastel skating is a palette, not a purchase: soft coral, lilac, sage and butter against cream, with one darker line to stop it going washed out.

The cheapest way in is laces, toe caps and wheels. Three small swaps recolour a whole skate for the price of a coffee, and all three are reversible.

Shoot in soft, indirect light — late afternoon, or open shade. Hard midday sun flattens pastels into grey.
