Roller Skate Aesthetic is a small independent publication about roller skating, operated by one person. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to data in connection with rollerskateaesthetic.com and with the Pinterest account @rollerskateaesthetic.
What this website collects
Nothing. This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no login, no comment form, no newsletter sign-up and no advertising scripts. We do not build profiles of visitors and we have no visitor database.
Two ordinary technical exceptions apply, and they are outside our control:
- Hosting logs. The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes connection data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL in order to deliver the page and protect the service against abuse. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Web fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request in order to serve the font file. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Use of the Pinterest API
This is the section relevant to Pinterest's developer review.
We use the Pinterest API v5 for a single, narrow purpose: to publish our own content to our own Pinterest account. The application has one user — the owner of this site. It is not offered to the public, it has no other users, and it does not act on behalf of anyone else.
- Authorisation. Access is obtained exclusively through Pinterest's standard OAuth 2.0 flow. We never ask for, collect, or store Pinterest login credentials, passwords or session cookies.
- Scopes. We request only what publishing requires — writing Pins, and reading the account's own boards and Pin analytics.
- Tokens. The OAuth access token and refresh token are held privately by the account owner, are never transmitted to any third party, and are never exposed on this website. They can be revoked at any time from the Pinterest account settings.
- Data retrieved. Only data belonging to our own account — our boards, our Pins and their performance figures. We do not retrieve, store or process data about other Pinterest users.
- Data sent. Only content we authored ourselves: images, titles, descriptions and destination links for our own Pins.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and make a purchase, the merchant may pay us a small commission at no additional cost to you. Those merchants set their own cookies and operate under their own privacy policies once you leave this site. Affiliate links are disclosed on the pages where they appear and on any Pin that carries one.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about visitors, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on request. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look into it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes to how the Pinterest integration works will be reflected here before they take effect.
